In this reading section, I found myself dreading to read on. The section simply doesn't have a "why would we care" factor. The events in this section are boring and lack in relation to the story. Did the author really have to right about cleaning Bert Baxter's carpets. These actions are just not interesting.
The plot in this section plot is secondary to other elements of the book. The characters I the book have a greater importance than the plot. Also, the plot is not relative to the characters. Nothing makes these events special to who the characters are.
There is not much suspense mrystery in this section. The author does not foreshadow any of the events in the book. I was confused when Adrian gets sick. There is no mention of him feeling sick. In fact, he is visiting Bert one moment, then he is in the hospital the next.
I agree with you, Jonathan. This section was very boring and didn't leave the reader intrigued. I also thought it was strange that Adrian showed no symptoms on sickness. Good job Jonathan.
